Boston Common

Had a really nice picnic with my girls Yuriko & Aiko on Boston Common.

Hit Downtown Crossing; and of course after I promise to treat them to some amazing pears from the fruit vendor there - he is closed for the Memorial Day weekend. Oh well.

Roadshow Old & New

Checked out the SOWA Market in South End Boston, discovered gay bistro Rocca is the best place to go to the ladies' room in the city, and realised that baby chicks really are the cutest thing in the entire world.

Andy and I had a great time in Brimfield last weekend - found some awesome stuff including an awesome Freddie Mercury poster, some amazing 1960s chairs, and my new dream car:

Gave a workshop at the Norman Rockwell Museum a few days later; the countryside was gorgeous.

Birthday Boy + J. Otto

Guess what, friends! I bought a J. Otto painting from the folks at Grass Hut Corps.! WOOHOO!

I couldn't be happier about this - J. Otto Seibold, the man beind Olive the Other Reindeer, Mr. Lunch and Bubble Soap, is having a huge solo show in Portland this month, AND doing some amazing live paintings.

New painting

From Tom's Portrait class - I'm not completely happy with it, mostly it's the mouth and ambivalent expression that bothers me. More paintings to come :)
