 I love how the Japanese love to grow things in every available space

  1. I love the potted gardens, I think they're so adorable! I wish I could do something like that, but unfortunately I kill anything I try to grow lol :/

  2. Even the most industrial areas had a real sense of beauty to them. I'm not sure if its just that everything was so foreign to us or not.

    Amazing that there are so many plants and gardens (not to mention Vending Machines) in hidden public places and yet NO vandalism, NO graffiti.

    I've always been an appreciator of Graffiti art but our trip to Japan has made me rethink it less as art and more as vandalism now.

  5. Thanks, friends!

    If I didn't seriously kill so many plants I would garden much more often.

    But right now my cactus and ivy plant are doing really well *knock on wood* so we'll see how it goes this winter!

  8. Looks really gorgeous; like the type of place you can have a cup of tea and just relax, get some ideas and just enjoy life.

  9. Wah this makes me want to have a little garden on my balcony, but I was born without a green thumb, so my plants usually just die on me ;_;
