Andy's Studio

Andy's studio is decked out for Halloween 365 days of the year!  Thought I'd share some photos I took of his stuff for the presentation we did at the Fitchburg Art Museum this weekend.

Hope you guys are ready for next week!

I'm actually totally copping out and going as Waldo.  I know, I know it's ridiculously easy, but when Halloween is on a Monday and you have to get up early...

... oh my God, is this what I've become?? Worried about getting up early??  Oh geez

Hardwick Ghost Walk

The ghosts stood by their own graves to tell you all about the lives they lead when Hardwick was founded in the late 1740s.... ooOooh spooky...

Take a walk with me

And look at that, we've arrived at the Eagle Hill Art Studio!

The artist residency is going really well, I can't believe how many pages of Frankenstein I'm able to get done.

Probably because you completely cut out all distractions.  Usually I listen to FNN live streaming news on the web, and some Sophia Coppola movie OSTs and just get into it.

Can't wait to show you some art this week!

Happy Autumn...

Should be awesome!  Hope to see you there!

Veronica X Seltzer Goods

I'm excited that more products I illustrated for Seltzer Goods have hit the market this month!

They asked me for a few different series to be made into magnets, and it was really a joy to work on.

Do they make circle canvases?  Hm.. how can I make one??

There's my little guys on the front page! (Yeti & Friends set + the Nautical Set)

Please go to Seltzer Goods' website to purchase!

Artist Residency

So this is basically where I live most of the time

I hear many scary things in the night... it's pretty creepy!

Last month I started my Artist Residency at the Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, MA.  It's been really wonderful - the students are awesome, the facility is great and I have lots of important time to work on Frankenstein pages.

But it's very dark at night.

And cold.

And quiet.

But one night around 11, I woke up to the sound of screaming in the woods.

Then suddenly the barking of wild dogs.

And then ... nothing.

Art Auction for the Boys & Girls Club

Hey friends,

I know this is super short notice, but I am donating this piece to the Boys & Girl's Club annual fund raising auction - which is today!

I've been donating art to them for years, and it's a really wonderful cause.  The Boys & Girl's Club has been offering kids a safe and positive environment to learn and grow in the worst of neighborhoods for decades.

I hope it finds a good home!

Interview with Eleanor 'Zine

The wonderful and fabulous Bianca interviewed me for the Fall '11 issue of Eleanor 'Zine, a great independent publication out of Chicago.

She was exceedingly liberal with her kind words, and I appreciate that, even though I'm sure I blathered on some nonsense.

Many thanks, Bianca!
