I have so many fun updates to share very soon - not the least of which is that my wonderful husband and I are buying our first house - WOO! After years of renting we are getting a sweet little farm house with a yard and a dog. (We really miss our old dog, Allie Oop, but that's a story for another day)
ANYWAY - lots of things shifting, work is crazy and buying a house has it's own set of hurdles we weren't expecting.
I did this cover for Adventure Time when we were living with my in-laws in Japan, and we had just gone to the Tokugawa Art Museum in town where I was very inspired by the collection.
I was particularly taken with this piece Shirahone Onsen, Shinshu by Kasamatsu Shiro (1935)
And used it as the skeleton for the cover.
Man, I'd sure like to visit that place: [LINK]
It was very cool that my sister-in-law was a big fan of the show, and she told me it's very big in Japan among both teens and adults.
