Trips to the flea market and a lovely time at our first Burn's Night,

ginger bread pudding with confectioners sugar, and good conversation.
a memory I'll keep for a long time :)

Frankenstein Cover art for sale
Hello there,
Here is the original pencil + pen drawing I created for the first two issues of Frankenstein: 1921.
There will be 2 more pairs like these for future issues of Volume 1, and they'll all connect :) Then there will be two more volumes, so the entire story will be probably between 300 - 320 pages.
Whoa! Better get crackin' on issue 3!

Frankenstein Issue #2 out now
Hey friends,
The next issue of Frankenstein is out, and I think this is where it starts getting good.
32 pgs | B&W | 6x9 tpb | $6.00
Maybe you'll notice that these two covers can be put together.
Eventually, all 6 covers of Volume 1 will fit cohesively.

Hellboy vs. Kroenen commission
process work
I forgot a few things to tweak in the final before I sent it out.
And because I am OCD, I couldn't let these thing go un-fixed. After dashing out to front porch for the mail - finding the package was already gone - I figured the best thing to do was calm down and ask J to do it. He's an artist - no problem, right?
He sent me this:
which made me laugh so hard my stomach muscles cramped for 40 minutes.

December + January memories
Some cell phone pics recording the holidays + New Year
Feeling amazing about 2013 - feel like personal demons have been epically slain and many wonderful things on the horizon!
I'll be going to Japan for a month this spring, to see family and do a bit of soul-searching in the company of my lovely (still new) in-laws and old (and also new) friends.
I'll leave you with something that struck me today:
There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man;
true nobility is being superior to your former self.
~ Ernest Hemingway

The Crompton Collective
Amy Chase, style powerhouse and all around cool lady, set up an artist & vendor collective in the Crompton Building Worc., MA.
[information here]
You have to check it out the next time you are in Central Mass - I love this place and really feel like it's just another sign of how Worcester is completely redefining itself as a wonderful, proactive city.
We need more places like the Collective!
I love looking at old toys & antiques, seeing what local artists are up to, and generally oooohing at package design, AND it's in a really cool renovated old mill.
Some evidence if you're not yet convinced:
Check it out if you're around!

Uniqlo Heattech / The Plight of the Cold-Handed Ones
I am always cold.
Until the peaks of summer, then not so much.
But it seems almost impossible to warm up this month, no matter how much tea I drink.
Made my first ever Uniqlo purchase yesterday - and it arrived at my door step in less than 22 hours! Whoa!
Got two shirts and tights, all Heattech line, for only $30. I can't believe how fast they shipped out! And now I'm wearing them, super toasty-warm.
I've even spent $30 on only two pairs of all wool, Mount Everest-grade hiker socks, only to still have chilly toes. (Blast you, poor circulation!)
So I have only great things to say about Uniqlo Heattech. Will definitely get more next winter!

Back to work - lots of projects going!
